monday madness

Today has been crazy busy.. it was a hectic day at work and now I'm at uni til 9pm. Ahh what a long day. Knowing that there's another public holiday next Monday though is getting me through this week... looking forward to the weekend already. Not the best sign.

boot love

So we've had just one full day of rain and I'm already starting to freak out because I still haven't got that perfect pair of every-day-every-where boots. And I do have a lot of boots, possibly too many considering Brisbane weather doesn't really require them but I'd wear them everywhere if I could. I have been wearing converses more lately but usually it's boots for me, especially for festivals; I'm pretty much always in docs. What I really want to find though is a perfect, kind of slouchy, kind of low-key biker boot.

Anyway, this one, very long, awful, cold day of rain (so dramatic) we've had has spurred on my search. As is usually the case, I found pretty much all of my favourites on net-a-porter, which basically means I can't afford any of them. A girl can dream though, right? Who knows, maybe I'll win the lottery.... Or find some lovely person who wants to buy them for me!

I don't think this song really needs any explanation as to why it's awesome but just in case you were wondering, it's the perfect song to get you through those long afternoons before days off. So, it's particularly great today with tomorrow being a public holiday and all. Plus, (sadly) it reminds me of Made in Chelsea, which I've been watching A LOT of lately. Sad to say but I am absolutely in love with that show. And this song. Have a listen, if you haven't already!

sass & bide: rumour has it

The new sass & bide lovestate super crop jeans are AMAZING! I am so in love. I bought the burnt orange ones the other day and I just want to live in them.. and I'm definitely considering buying every other colour. 

They are perfectly cropped, super skinny and the burnt orange colour is just amazing.. it totally pops. And I was so lucky to even get them in my size, they are completely selling out. Ahh these jeans have seriously made my weekend.

I'm obsessed with this type of tortoise-shell look for sunnies and love being able to incorporate hints of colour without going all out. These amazing Kurt Geiger sunglasses do this perfectly. They are still quite classic but with a fresh twist.

Totally loving this Jerome Dreyfuss shoulder bag! 

I actually used to have a bag that was pretty similar to this, except it was mustard yellow - I loved it, it was quite amazing but it got very old and very worn.. and I could definitely do with a replacement.

 Simple but super perfect; I need to find a way to make this bag mine.
